Visitors and Volunteers
Meriden Public Schools Volunteer Program
WHAT IS THE MERIDEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM? Our program welcomes parents, grandparents, neighbors, businesses, etc. and others from the community to get involved with our students education and our school system, by volunteering and spending their time assisting in our schools in a variety of ways.
WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM? It is a proven fact that parents, community members and educators must be partners in education. Our goals are to improve and expand educational experiences provided to all of our students through the use of volunteers and to promote an increased dialogue between the school and the community.
HOW DO I SIGN UP TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER OR RECEIVE MORE INFORMATION? Simply call Nan L. Despres, Volunteer Program Coordinator, at 203-634-7985 or email nan.despres@meriden.k12.ct.us.
Any questions you have will be happily answered. Comments and suggestions are always welcomed and appreciated.
• Visitors and Volunteers are always welcome at Roger Sherman School. • Come into the office and fill out a visitor pass, peel and stick to your clothing, and proceed to the area you are visiting or where you are volunteering.
